What's Up Wednesday

It was another looooong break from blogging! Anyways, past few weeks have been a bit Crazy. First my hubby's assignment at current workplace was over unexpectedly before time. It was supposed to continue till December and maybe an extension after that. But that is what contracting is like plus the Job market is really unstable these days. But eventually we settled on it, he is now staying at home, taking more care of me and helping me out, which I am enjoying!

Due to this we are now leaving out current home in Downtown and moving some place else as our main reason to stay here was the closeness of his workspace. Hopefully we can save some on rent till he finds a new job as the rents are higher here as it is core downtown area.

We can't shift country till baby is here, but we will manage for the next few months, so we are taking it easy. We have to move to a new house by end of this month.

I will really miss the lovely downtown views from here though, especially enjoying fireworks from our window and beautiful rising Moon which I could literally see sitting on my sofa!

So now we have to plan a move which is the last thing that we wanted to do during the Third Trimester of pregnancy....Yes, it's the last round!! Just 10 Weeks to go!! YAY!

On top of all this "Zika" is here in Singapore, the worst that we have to deal with, We are staying indoors, using repellent, keeping the windows closed.....we are not taking any risk as we have few more weeks to go. Even if Chemical fogging is done to take care of mosquitoes that is scary too....lots of chemicals and the worst part is that it takes 6 months for it to disintegrate!

In midst of all this hustle bustle...I found time to make my new "Metallic Pumpkins" which were long due,

However I still have to take better pictures and list them in my Etsy Shop.

....hopefully I'll do that before fall ends!!!!

Don't know when I will be posting next...! But I try my best to post on Instagram. Meanwhile I'll check on all the posts that I have missed from my regular blog buddies whenever I find time.
Thanks for stopping by!

Get the Look : Bohemian Bedroom - Home Decor:Trendy Tuesday

Enjoy a glamorous Boho-style with a few simple tweaks.

Give your Bedroom décor a Boho touch with some colourful accents. Feather art and the Dreamcatcher are the typical boho themed wall décor. The vibrant hot pink and yellow tones give the room a nice bold  touch without overpowering the theme. The multi-colour printed bedding, rug and curtain complete the look.

For the shimmery shine and glamour the metallic poufs, vase and lamps are perfect choices.

The rustic and natural sea-grass weaved baskets serve as both décor and storage.

Boho. Style. Bedroom.

What's Up Wednesday

The weather has been lovely with more rain and not so hot days.

My herbs are finally doing good, it took some effort and after a few killings...
I am loving using Fresh, Organic, Home Grown herbs from the garden to cook!! Yum!

Also finally put the new Chalk board Markers that I made before,

This mint was practically dead, with just one tiny green stem,

But it improved and grew back,

Look at it Now!!!

Some other ones which I bought from organic store, rooted and then planted,

Remember the Clay I took out last week to do some Crafting, here is what I made...

Made one Evil one too...

Mango Jam - Make it Monday: Recipe of the Month

Here is one more Mango recipe, let's make the most of it while they are in season!
This time a 'Sweet' one with a surprise ingredient. My Grandpa used to make this Jam all the time when we were little!

As far as I am concerned I love anything Mango and this recipe is a childhood favourite.

Semi-ripe Mangoes- 2 Medium
Sugar - 1 Cup or as per your taste
Saffron Strands- 8 or 9
Cardamom Powder - 1/3 Tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 Tsp
Water as needed

  • Peel and grate the Mangoes
  • Transfer the pulp to a non-stick pan and cook on medium heat
  • Add the Sugar gradually
  • Cook till the mixture reaches a thick consistency, taste to see if you need more sugar as this depends on how sour your mango is
  • Add Saffron, Cardamom and Lemon juice
  • Keep cooking till the mixture thickens and becomes transparent and reaches Jam consistency, add water if required.
  • Cool and Store in a jar in the refrigerator

What's Up Wednesday

Last three days were mostly spent in bed resting, but today is a big day as we reach halfway with 20 weeks!!!
Feeling excited,

We try to do short outdoors trips whenever we can, last Saturday we went to Gardens by The bay for a short stroll and to our surprise spotted these cuties!!

Water hen Chicks...

 Aww how adorable they are!

A few more shots...

Craft ...

While resting I took out this colourful non-toxic clay that I picked up a few months ago just because it was on Sale. Finally I used them, more when I complete, but I think it isn't hard to guess what I am making!
